Le nouveau Conseil d'Administration CA de la FIMEM ne compte que quatre membres, ce qui n'est pas suffisant selon les statuts et le travail à faire.
L'Assemblée Générale et le nouveau Conseil d'Administration de la FIMEM
Notre Assemblée générale se compose de trois parties : premièrement la séance d'information, deuxièmement les discussions dans les groupes de langues et troisièmement la séance de prise de décision. Avec toutes les traductions, c'est toujours une tâche difficile à accomplir avec tous les sujets.
Cette année à Ljungskile nous avons eu de gros problèmes dans la troisième partie, ne pouvant pas finir à temps. Nous devions continuer après le dîner et même le lendemain. Déjà, les discussions de langues ont duré trois ou quatre soirées, du moins dans le groupe allemand.
L'une des raisons était l'absence de documents de base pour les discussions. "Vous pouvez les obtenir sur le site du FIMEM", nous a-t-on dit. Mais nous n'avons pas pu les joindre, parce qu'ils se trouvaient dans l'espace intérieur et qu'aucun d'entre nous dans le groupe allemand n'avait une clé pour entrer dans cet espace intérieur.
Un autre problème était les propositions venant des différents groupes linguistiques. Avant de pouvoir les discuter et les voter, nous devions faire une synthèse de toutes les propositions. Nous aurions dû le faire avant que la troisième décision ne fasse partie de l'Assemblée générale.
Notre nouveau Conseil d'Administration (CA) ne compte que quatre membres : Mariel Ducharme du Canada, Sylviane Amiet de Suisse, Antoinette Mengue du Cameroun et Lanfranco Genito d'Italie.
Les statuts disent qu'il devrait y en avoir au moins cinq. Au cours des 10 dernières années, il a été très difficile de trouver de nouveaux candidats au CA. Les tâches sont devenues plus grandes et il est plus difficile pour une personne qui travaille encore, d'entrer dans le CA. En fait, certains candidats élus n'ont dû abandonner à nouveau qu'après une courte période.
C'est peut-être la raison pour laquelle nous n'avons actuellement que quatre membres au conseil d'administration. Comment peuvent-ils gérer, alors que la quantité de travail est si importante ? Comment notre fédération peut-elle fonctionner de cette façon ? Je suis très inquiet de la situation actuelle !
Nous avons absolument besoin de nouveaux candidats pour le CA, au plus tard dans deux ans, lorsque nous nous rendrons au Québec pour le prochain RIDEF ! Peut-être même plus tôt. Les candidats qui n'ont pas encore été élus pourraient déjà travailler avec le CA et aider à accomplir toutes les tâches.
Je demande aux grands mouvements comme l'Allemagne, la France et l'Espagne de s'assurer qu'ils auront un candidat de valeur au Québec. Mais aussi des mouvements plus petits comme le Mexique, la Belgique, la Suède, la Bulgarie ou l'Autriche devraient sérieusement chercher des personnes pour aider notre fédération à aller de l'avant dans les prochaines années.
Nous devons être conscients qu'il est de notre responsabilité de faire fonctionner le FIMEM. Nous le devons à nos nouveaux membres comme l'Uruguay et la Grèce et à tous les autres qui ont rejoint notre mouvement ces dernières années !

I was not in Sweden during the last Ridef anyway I followed through the narration of some participants, the great part the Italian ones, and when I read Andy writing I completely agree with him and his notes about :
- The number of members in the BD in this moment is not sufficient (4) and I think we have to think carefully about it and try to find some solutions:
1. first of all I suggest the current BD to open the debate inside them and inside the FIMEM.
- Why Fimem countries are not interested in taking part to the BD meeting :
May be they think there are too many meetings, anyway today there are only few meeting in presence, the most of them are via skype so journey are limited and you can always be in contact
- To have members from other countries, not in a very limited number, could give to the working group the exact pace of what’s happening in other countries and let other Fimem members to know it.
- Furthermore The Ridef is a great event for meeting people coming from different countries concerned with Freinet pedagogy and the general assembly through the work of the BD is the great way and chance we have of going reflecting on the past and looking at the future .
- A proposal : to promote again the group of delegates , (the special group, made by volunteers from different countries) with letters and special messages to all the countries, trying to help and stimulate the “political mission” of the BD and its importance inside the Fimem. This group could work trough the internet and could be open to every suggestion and intervent.
- Once upon a time there was a multilettre, that in a certain way tried to collect what’s happening in the different countries and was sent to each member of the fimem.... it was a great way to have contact with each other ...
- The work of the BD must not only to be limited to bureaucratic issues, it’s the core of the Fimem and we have to support it with ideas coming from all the country members.
These are only some suggestions ... I sent them to the Fimem site, to the CA ( Sylviane and Lanfranco , our Italian representative hoping to have some answers in term of opening a debate ...
