André Lefeuvre is dead

André Lefeuvre was known by the olders. He attended the RIDEF. A lot of Brazilians have met him.

André passed away Thursday, July 23.
Practitioner and activist Freinet throughout his career. He was teaching in the Barre de Monts (85) with his wife Therese,
André was very interested in the natural method in science. He has been a very active member of the ICEM Vendée group.
He was Esperanto activist, tireless hard worker in ICEM, with BT Chantier and New Educator.  He scored deeply ICEM movement, FIMEM with RIDEF and was member of Amis de Freinet.
After the death of Terese he worked in Brazil, with 
Fatima Morais in the Recanto Freinet school(Recife) and
Freinet movement in the Northeast of Brazil where he had also the opportunity to meet several times Paulo Freire.
A brochure published by the Amis de Freinet, and distributed by Editions ICEM demonstrates this companionship "From kindergarten to the university: A Freinet school in Brazil"
Giving like Therese, his body to science, no farewell ceremony is planned.
A souvenir plaque will be affixed in the cemetery of the Barre de Monts in some time.
